Two-factor authentication or shortly known as 2FA is a common authenticating method that is widely used by videogames, apps and even websites where you need your account to be protected at all times.  Fortnite Battle Royale is no exception to this because of the items you have on your account can worth up to thousands especially if you’re playing the game for a long time.

Also, Fortnite is a game where over 10 million people play daily so when you have that much of players, you need to keep the accounts safe so there wouldn’t be incidents of the account getting stolen every once in a while.

Enabling two-factor authentication is easy and takes little to no time. There are two ways to login on your account with the two-factor-authentication. The most common one being via e-mail and other is through an authentication app such as Google Authenticator, Authy, LootPass Authenticator, etc.

You can follow the steps below to enable two-factor-authentication on your Fortnite account.

  1. Click on Account Settings at the top.
  2. Get to your Password&Security settings from the left menu.
  3. Scroll down and choose your preferred method to enable 2fa and whether if it’s e-mail or an authenticator app, receive the security code.
  4. Enter the security code you’ve received and enter it to the Epic Games website.
